Keep your eyes open and sit comfortably. Blink your eyes ten times at a rapid pace.

Make a fist with the left hand but the thumb should be facing upwards and then place it on the left knee.
Look carefully at the point at the height parallel to your eyes. Keep your eyes focused on the left thumb and exhale.
Breathe in while focusing on the point at the height parallel to your eyes. Repeat the same process with the right thumb. Now close your eyes and relax.
Palming
This is a common Indian home remedy for eyestrain. This technique is also called ‘therapy’. The heat from the palms stimulates the blood vessels in the eyes and helps reduce swelling. This technique is helpful if your eyes are dry, irritated or tired because it moistens the eyeballs with the heat and moisture of your palms.
