Hypothyroidism is a condition that occurs due to underactivity of the thyroid gland. This can either be due to an autoimmune disease or due to the intake of radioactive iodine.

It can cause a number of symptoms such as weight gain, heart problems, depression and bone loss. It can also cause hair loss and infertility in women.

Shoulderstand can be done by lying on your back with your feet flat on the ground and your knees bent. Your arms should be at your side with palms facing up. Bend your elbows and hold both sides of your head with both hands. Press down with elbows to lift head, neck, chest and shoulders off the ground until you balance on your shoulders in a straight line from head to toes. Stay in this position for 20 seconds before lowering back down to the ground.

2.Cat-cow pose

The cow-cat pose is a gentle movement you can do to stretch your spine and neck.

You can do this asana sitting on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Then, bring your chin to your chest, exhaling through your spine and rising up. When you inhale, round the back of your spine, as if a cow is coming from grazing in a field. Repeat these movements several times in each direction for best results.
