Introduction: What is Migraine?
Migraine is a type of headache. This is due to the dilation of blood vessels in the head, leading to increased pressure and pain which can be severe and recurrent. It lasts for at least four hours or even a day. The pain usually occurs on one side of the head and is accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light or sound. It can be so severe that it causes temporary blindness or even loss of consciousness.
There are mainly two types of migraine.
–Classic migraine
-Non classic migraine
Classic Migraine:
In the case of a classic , there are a number of symptoms that indicate that you are about to have a migraine attack, such as blurred vision before the onset of headache, with some symptoms of stiffness and burning in the shoulder.
Non classic migraine:
In non-classic , there is a severe headache from time to time, but there are no other symptoms. In such a situation, along with the onset of headache, taking painkillers gives relief.
Symptoms of Migraine
It is a neurological problem. In this, there is a very prickling pain in the head on one side. This pain lasts from a few hours to three days.
Some symptoms of migraine include:
* Headache that stops after three days without any symptoms.
* Nausea, but no vomiting.
* Sensation of pressure in one eye or both eyes that goes away after five minutes or less.
* Trouble felt due to light, loud sound.
* Persistent pain in one side of the head
It can be diagnosed by recognizing one or more of these symptoms.
Why does migraine happen? (Causes)
Lifestyle and diet:
Stress – This life is full of stress and people do not even try to change it much. Gradually all this starts turning into a headache. Headache gets worse when moving from normal position to stressful environment
Hormones:
It can caused by natural changes or hormonal imbalances. This is especially the case in women, where there is a headache due to a decrease in the level of estrogen hormone.
Unbalanced Foods:
It can also be triggered by consumption of certain unbalanced foods such as beer, red wine, chocolate, cheese, aspartame, monosodium glutamate and excess caffeine.
